Happy new year to everyone! I pray that throughout this next year, you can cherish the moments of joy, remember that there is always hope and persist even when times become tough.
Each year when New Year’s Eve comes around, the discussion turns to new year’s resolutions.
What do you want to change in your life from 2019 to 2020? What new thing do you want to try? Or what old habit would you like to break?
As we are all aware, news year’s resolutions often aren’t fulfilled. Whether the goals were quickly forgotten or ignored, resolutions are difficult due to many reasons.
We all acknowledge that goals are essential in motivating us towards success, yet, it is so rare for someone to stick to them.
I challenge you to make resolutions every day. To wake up and say to yourself, ‘What do I want to achieve today?’ In my short time, I have found making short, achievable goals are more beneficial than tedious, long-term goals. Short goals allow you to have a specific focus for the day and enables you to build off your success. I don’t know about you but ticking something off a checklist has to be one of the most satisfying moments.
As a new year and a new decade begin, don’t make January 1st or 2nd the day for creating resolutions. Make a resolution every day and watch as those small goals build upon each other. Enabling you to grow much more than any new year’s resolution could and forming new positive characteristics.
I look forward to continuing sharing this journey with you all in 2020!

Enjoyed your post. I like what you say about short achievable goals which are continual and not something we simply decide on at the beginning of every new year. Makes far more sense. Thanks for your visit to my blog.

Yes, that is a new take on resolutions… Why not a daily one?! True… In a way every object in the universe is working on a daily resolution, don’t you think so? The Sun, the moon, the tides, the man of the house, the home maker woman, the teacher, the preacher… you name it!! Whims don’t work in the face of responsibility… Thank you for reading my post and liking it… I too get up every morning with a resolve to love life more and hate things less!
